The world of Star Trek gaming just got bigger thanks to a brand new RPG called Star Trek: Legends, which is now out on the Apple Arcade. The game describes itself as the past, present, and future colliding, featuring many classic characters battling one another.

The player takes command of the Starfleet ship the U.S.S. Artemis and ends up falling into the Nexus, the event that was featured in the film Generations that brought Jean-Luc Picard and James Kirk together. Once there, it’s up to the player to prevent an upcoming crisis.

The game will allow you to take control of more than 40 characters, including James Kirk, Spock, Jean-Luc Picard, Kathryn Janeway, Data, Burnham, and more (with additional characters joining the game on a regular basis). You’ll then be able to send them to complete missions off the ship.

Once you select the away team, you can then assign characters to posts on the Artemis as a means of supporting the Away Team. Each character will have their own unique skills and abilities, with Spock’s Vulcan Nerve Pinch or Worf’s deadly Bat’leth players can defeat enemies in “cinematic combat sequences.”

Like other Trek games, Legends will have episodic updates, challenges, and more for players to deal with. These events could be daily, weekly or limited-time events to keep players engaged long-term.
