BBC America Showing Star Trek marathon all day

In celebration of Star Trek’s 50th anniversary BBC America is showing a Star Trek marathon all weekend long.

If you love Star Trek you’re going to want to turn your TV to BBC America. BBC America shows Star Trek: The Next Generation every day of course, but usually just seasons 1-3. Today however the BBC is showing a random selection of Star Trek: The Next Generation episodes from all seasons and then tonight is airing Star Trek: The Original Series starting with “The Man Trap” at 8:30 Eastern time.

The Star Trek: The Original Series marathon is set to start at 8:30 pm, exactly 50 years from when the series first aired in 1966. BBC America will air all of Star Trek: The Original Series seasons 1 and 2, which will take until Sunday. You can find the full schedule and see what time your favorite episodes are set to air here.

Another wonderful thing about this Star Trek marathon is that the episodes are uncut and digitally remastered. It’s great that BBC airs Star Trek: The Next Generation every day, but they do cut the episodes down to add extra commericals.

So set your DVRs and get ready for a weekend full of boldly going!
