Collectors, model-makers, and Star Trek fans can rejoice at the opportunity to build their very own U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D

Hero Collector, the company behind the designs of the best high-quality collectibles from all types of pop culture, are opening the cargo bay doors and releasing a new program that invites Star Trek fans to Build the U.S.S. Enterprise-D from Star Trek: The Next Generation. This subscription based service will send regular deliveries to subscribers that will include easy-to-follow instructions on how to assemble their very own Enterprise.

There’s nothing else you need to buy as the necessary components come in each shipment. They are all pre-painted and can be clicked or screwed together. With each delivery, you’re one step closer to having your very own Enterprise ready to be displayed on its model stand. And this isn’t a cheap replica you’ll want to hide in your closet. In fact, Dan Curry, VFX producer on The Next Generation, as well as Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, and Star Trek: Enterprise, called this a “beautiful model” and said it was “such good quality that we could have used it for some of the shots we created for The Next Generation.”

This replica is over two feet long and is color-matched so perfectly, it will match the starship’s on-screen appearance. The saucer and stardrive sections can be separated (and they have their own separate power sources so you can keep them both lit), and there are working internal lights that will illuminate the ship’s windows, engines, navigation lights, and main deflector.

And along with the instructions and components for the ship, there’s something special in each and every delivery for Star Trek fans. You’ll get behind-the-scenes information, interviews, and art from the people who made The Next Generation. If you want to know more, head on over to build-model-enterprise.com where you can find details on the complete program, information on what’s included in each shipment, and an even better look at the model you’ll create. The program starts in March 2021.
