Closing thoughts

Are those behind the scenes at the Golden Globes simply not watching Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, or are they just hellbent on limiting their nominations within the sci-fi genre? Here are the nominees for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a TV Series Drama this year, in addition to the aforementioned Diego Luna: Sterling K. Brown (Paradise), Gary Oldman (Slow Horses), Mark Ruffalo (Task), Adam Scott (Severance), and Noah Wylie (The Pitt).
These are all fantastic performers, all worthy of Golden Globe nods. However, are you honestly going to sit there and tell me that Ruffalo and Wylie’s acting in Task and The Pitt respectively are better than what Mount brought to the final frontier in "Hegemony, Part II?" Live long and prosper, Trekkies!
