Artwork

The art in Stargazers, which is provided by Kisai Entertainment, feels familiar if you've ever read a Manga comic, but with its own identity. What caught my eye and made me laugh are the stand-alone, small, singular faces in some of the panels, especially when the tension rises.

Those faces underscore each character's emotions in that moment without them having to explain. They also zing my funny bone in that "This is silly, but it's also kind of great" way that Robot Chicken does!

The artwork team on Stargazers does a wonderful job of expressing the characters' personalities. Alfie is a chubby roly-poly Frenchie, and his dramatics when Leon and Churi install a manual door to Leon's room make it obvious that he's more spoiled than Captain Archer's beagle Porthos from Star Trek: Enterprise! I'm betting he'll become my favorite as I read on.
