Do you live in Canada and love Star Trek? Are you sad that New York is getting CBS’ big new Star Trek convention? Well don’t worry, because here’s some exciting Star Trek news just for you!
The Canada Aviation and Space Museum will present The Starfleet Academy Experience starting in May 2016 and running all summer through September 2016. This means you can have some summer Star Trek fun and then relive it in September for Star Trek’s 50th anniversary!
Here’s how the Canada Aviation and Space Museum describes the exhibit:
"The Starfleet Academy Experience will provide newly-minted cadets with a first-of-its-kind “Trek Tech” immersive experience that takes the student from orientation into a rigorous training program involving simulated science, engineering, medical, and command courses, through to graduation, and finally to the deck of an active star ship. The experience is enriched with the actual science behind the science fiction as the participants learn about emerging technologies such as a functional tricorder, NASA’s warp drive theory, and the latest experiments with phasers and teleporters."
Do you want to be a member of Starfleet? Haven’t you always wanted to attend Starfleet Academy? Now is your chance! It’s time to take a trip to Ottawa!
The Museum will be open from 9am – 5pm May 1st through September 1st and the price is an amazing $13 dollars for adults and $10 dollars for most children. It’s time to face the Kobayashi Maru! For more information visit the Canada Aviation and Space Museum website.
