CBS IS BETTING HARD ON STAR TREK
What if the new Star Trek is only a moderate success; will that be enough for CBS to keep it around? CBS is making Star Trek the tentpole of their new CBS All Access streaming service, which sounds good, but might be terrible.
There’s a real possibility here that Star Trek could get blamed for CBS All Access’ failure. If CBS All Access doesn’t succeed and Star Trek was it’s big main draw Star Trek is going to get some of the blame for its failure. This means the last two Star Trek series on TV had bad ratings and Trek will be blamed for the demise or failure of a streaming service.
