Beverly Crusher

Beverly Crusher somehow manages to be the chief medical officer of the Federation flagship and the single parent to a boy genius who is constantly getting into mischievous jams.

It can be hard to stand out on a Star Trek  show as the doctor, you’re often relegated to sickbay while most of the action takes place on the bridge, but Beverly Crusher does it.  Crusher was a widowed mother to a boy genius and a brilliant scientists constantly finding cures for diseases and facing ethical crisis.

Whether you love or hate the Crusher clan you have to admit Beverly Crusher is an impressive mom… though I’m not sure about her letting her kid go away with a strange magician calling himself “the traveler.”

Beverly also got to slap Wesley Crusher, something many Star Trek fans have dreamed of doing.
