Keiko O’Brien

Raising kids in the stars is not an easy job, but Keiko O’Brien manages to do it because she is adaptable. Keiko is the botanist onboard the Enterprise, but when her husband Chief Miles O’Brien is transferred to Deep Space Nine she moves to the space station with him.

There’s not a lot of call for a botanist on DS9, but instead of giving up Kieko moves on and opens a school for the kids on the station.  Keiko isn’t just a great mom to Molly, she’s a great teacher for all the kids on Ds9.

The scene where Worf delivers Keiko’s baby is also hilarious.
