Grace Park played Boomer in Battlestar Galactica and she was a really great character, even if she turned out to be a bad guy in the end; we think.  We aren’t quite sure to be honest because BG got a bit strange when it turned out that they were all actually bad guys, they just didn’t know about it. Battlestar Galactica was a complicated show and we appreciate the feel of the program; and the special effects used were understated and realistic. We think the new series of Star Trek might benefit from borrowing some of these themes from Battlestar, as well as possibly a couple of the actors. Grace Park was one of the best actors on the show, and she could be an excellent captain if she had the chance.

She could easily handle herself; after kicking butt on Hawaii Five-0 for a few seasons a horde of Klingon warriors trying to board the ship would more than meet their match in Park. She is no stranger to space travel as well so it wouldn’t take her very long to find her ‘space legs’ and she could easily lead a crew of explorers through the galaxy.

If they don’t make Grace Park captain, they should at least give her another job on the ship, Chief Grace Park perhaps?
