Vin Diesel gets a bad wrap and this one might seem a little far-fetched, given that Vin Diesel is pretty much a Hollywood A-Lister these days after his mesmerizing performances in the Fast and The Furious franchise, but hear us out. Diesel would certainly bring something different to the table. We think that when he finishes filming The Fastest and The Most Furious 23, Vin should come over to Toronto, don a Star Trek uniform and start exploring the universe.

Diesel has science fiction credibility after staring in Pitch Black and Chronicles of Riddick, so he is no stranger to space travel, and his husky voice would inspire confidence in his comrades. He is comfortable with having a scrap, having been involved in several movies where he needed to fight his way out of precarious situations.

He might not be known for romantic scenes, which there should be in a Star Trek series, but he can leave the romance to his officers and concentrate on exploring. We think he would do an awesome introduction to the show.
