Flight of the Conchords is one of the funniest shows I have ever seen in my life. It revolves around 2 New Zealanders who find themselves living in New York and trying to make a name for themselves as musicians. Their agent, Murray Hewitt, played by Rhys Darby, holds weekly meetings to discuss their progress, or lack of progress in truth. If you haven’t seen the show, it’s definitely one to download, if you can get your head around the silliness of it.

We don’t want Star Trek to turn into a comedy because that definitely would alienate a lot of the core fans, but we think Rhys Darby could play a seriously good captain and keep a sense of his comedic brilliance. We haven’t seen any New Zealanders in the Star Trek television series yet and we think Rhys Darby would make an unpredictable captain, full of interesting surprises and funny moments.
