Sons of Anarchy was a hit show about a motorcycle gang that proved to be extremely popular, especially when Charlie Hunnam lost his shirt.

Originally born in England, Hunnam starred in several low budget movies before gaining notoriety in a few great productions. It was his performance opposite Elijah Wood in Green Street that caught the eye of big producers and he was given the lead role in the motorcycle gang. As the show went on, the producers did not regret their decision as it became their most popular show of all time.

Charlie Hunnam would play a younger captain, possibly not unlike William Shatner and Chris Pine. I think Charlie Hunnam would make an excellent action hero captain with all the panache of old captain Kirk. He would also, like Shatner in The Original Series, be a hit with alien females and away missions might take longer than expected.
