When he’s not creating some of the funniest shows on television, such as Family Guy, American Dad and Cleveland Show, Seth MacFarlane is getting his Star Trek fix wherever he goes. So much so in fact, that he even snagged himself a cameo role on Star Trek Enterprise as Ensign Rivers.

Seth also used Star Trek in his show, Family Guy, as a means of getting a political message across. He often used references from TNG and other series in his work and is very open about his ove for the show. He spoke previously before the announcement of the new series in 2017 and revealed that he would love to see it happen:

"“I don’t know who would give me the keys to that car. But, I’d love to see that franchise revived for television in the way that it was in the 1990s: very thoughtful, smartly written stories that transcend the science fiction audience.”"
