Star Trek TOS Movies Leaving Netflix In July

The Star Trek: The Original Series movies will be leaving Netflix in July.

ICYMI: Walter Koenig, the original Chekov, speaks about the death of Anton Yelchin.

It may be time to have a Star Trek movie marathon, because the TOS movies are about to leave Netflix. According to AllFlicks the following Star Trek movies are leaving the streaming giant this July:

Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979)
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982)
Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (1984)
Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986)
Star Trek V: The Final Frontier (1989)
Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (1991)
Star Trek: Generations (1994)

Movies come and go pretty regularly on Netflix, so there’s no doubt that the films will be back. This could be Netflix wanting to rotate its selection, or it could be that they want to have the films off the site for a month before putting them back on with fanfare before Star Trek‘s 50th anniversary in September.

Whatever the reason for the films departure it’s the perfect excuse to have a Star Trek movie marathon. (Of course I have all these movies on Blu-ray, but lets not ruin a perfectly good Star Trek movie marathon excuse with details.)

We could do Star Trek: The Motion Picture on Friday evening.

On Saturday we would watch Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, and Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home.

Sunday’s selections would the be Star Trek V: The Final FrontierStar Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country , Star Trek: Generations.

That would get us through all the movies leaving Netflix this weekend.

So if I do a Star Trek movie marathon this weekend who’s in with me? #LLAP!

I’ll be commenting as I watch over on our Facebook page, so you can pick up and follow along at any point!
