I am an avid collector of Star Trek action figures and a huge fan of the Diamond Select series. However manufacturer Quantum Mechanix has knocked it out of the park with these Star Trek the Original Series Deluxe Action Figures (Spock is also available) released to celebrate the 50th Anniversary. Hot Toys are yet to get involved with the Star Trek franchise (they do have the license to produce Star Wars figures which is maybe a reason why) and I think these figures would be the next best thing. With incredible detail the figures stand at 12 inches with over 30 points of articulation. Unfortunately these are not cheap if you live in the UK as they come in at £199.99 from Forbidden Plant but USA buyers will be pleased with a $179.95 price tag.
