Artist: Royce McLean

Royce McLean is the sort of artist I myself would like to emulate. As you may or may not be aware I write and draw redshirtsalways.com’s Trek This comic which is probably one of the reasons there are a few cartoon type illustrations on this list, as they are a personal favorite in terms of style. When I look at his gallery I see the way I would like to draw as his style is so pleasing on the eye and rich in color and detail. What I love about this illustration is the way he embodies a Klingon wielding a Bat’leth, the small shape of the legs, almost ballerina style and the way he’s holding the weapon it’s slick and elegant.
