30 Reasons Why Captain Picard is Better than Captain Kirk

Still The most popular Trek Show and Picard is definitely a reason for this

Star Trek: The Next Generation is one of the most highly regarded television series of all time. It ranks higher than any other in the Star Trek franchise and many give that credit to Jean-Luc Picard. In the television world (because again, if we are talking Pine’s Kirk then my opinion is extremely different), Picard is probably the most qualified and ready for the job straight out of the gate.

He knows what he is doing and does it to the best of his ability. As the show grows, so does Picard and he proves that Star Trek is really about the humanity of it all and searching for peace among everyone. Picard also just has cooler fights and doesn’t scream when he’s captured.

He fights back and just is generally better at the job. For lack of a better term, Kirk is a smart ass at times. And that can sometimes be his downfall. For Picard, he uses his words to convince people that he is right and it almost always works. That or people just like listening to Picard better than they do listening to Kirk.

So that is why Star Trek: The Next Generation continues to be one of the best in the Star Trek series.
