30 Reasons Why Captain Picard is Better than Captain Kirk

Picard won a poll of Star Trek fans over Kirk

Honestly, there is nothing more important that this slide. Why? Because the fans spoke and chose him over Kirk. (I say this as I sit wearing a Captain Kirk shirt but just go with it.)

The thing about polls are they are easily swayed. Someone can share it on a platform geared towards Picard fans and it can go viral. And if that is the case then so be it but it still shows us that Picard is more loved in a lot of ways than Kirk is.

The fans have spoken and they chose Picard. He’s one of the ‘main two’ as it were because he is one of the first of the Star Trek captains that everyone remembers.

While Benjamin Sisko is amazing, not everyone knows about Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. So out of the captains, a lot of people are going to vote for either Kirk or Picard. And in this case, they chose to put their faith in Jean-Luc Picard of the U.S.S Enterprise.

And honestly, who wouldn’t? He is smart, debonair, and he sure knows how to captain a ship better than anyone around. And while Kirk is amazing, Shatner’s version of the captain pales in comparison to Picard.
