 Tennessee – Leslie Jordan

Having been born in Memphis in 1955, veteran actor Leslie Jordan would move to Los Angeles in 1982 to begin his acting career. A few years later, he started regularly receiving film and TV roles. His unique Southern drawl and short height (he’s around 4’11”) help him to always stick out in all of the many roles he has taken on.

Jordan has played all kinds of different roles on the screen. He’s a victim of Jason Voorhees in the horror movie Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday. Then he was the Invisible Man on Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. In the mid 1990s, he would enter Star Trek lore by appearing on Star Trek: Voyager.

In the episode “False Profits”, Jordan plays a Ferengi character named Kol. With another Ferengi, Kol is pretending to be a prophet to the natives of a planet. The jig is up once the Voyager crew realizes what they are up to, beaming them on board the Voyager. But the Ferengi, including Kol, end up escaping on their ship the Voyager had confiscated. They escape into a wormhole which could have been a shortcut home for Voyager, ruining what could have been an early end to the series.
