This was a fantastic panel and featured some of the most interesting cast members from TNG including Brent Spiner (Data), Johnathan Frakes (Will Riker), Gates McFadden (Beverley Crusher), Denise Crosby (Tasha Yar), Marina Sirtis (Deanna Troi), and and Robert Reilly (Gowron). This group of Star Trek greats talked about all things Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Discovery, and even touched on why Star Trek is important in 2017.
Some people don’t understand why cons are so much fun, but when you see what a panel actually is you get it. The panels are similar to the extra features on a Blu-ray except the audience can help steer where the conversation goes. It’s the interaction between the actors who played the parts and the fans who love the show that makes it really special. Star Trek panels and cons in particular are always fantastic because of the respect that the fans and the actors have for one another.
If you are thinking about whether a Star Trek con is something you’d enjoy we encourage you to give it a try. If you’re going to Treklanta this weekend you might even run into us!
