What happened to the Star Trek: The Next Generation crew after Nemesis?
Let’s take a look at where in Beta canon the Star Trek: The Next Generation crew ended up after the events of Star Trek: Nemesis.
We don’t know what became of the crew of the Enterprise after the events of Star Trek: Nemesis in Alpha canon. This of course because CBS hasn’t given us a Star Trek series that dives farther into the future. While CBS may be scared to journey farther into the unknown comic book and novelist are not. So let’s dive into some Star Trek: The Next Generation Beta canon and see what became of the Star Trek: The Next Generation crew.

I don’t love that they brought Data back to life in B4. For one thing if Data’s personality had to overtake B4 then it’s kind of like they killed B4 in order to get Data back. Everything I know about Data and Geordi tells me neither of them would have approved of this.
I also don’t love that they brought him back because it takes away one of the most interesting ends to a member of the Star Trek: The Next Generation crew. I also don’t love that Wesley showed back up for this same reason. When you give a character a great sendoff don’t bring them back just to bring them back. Fans want to see more of the characters they love, but sometimes that perfect ending is for the best. The series MASH did the same thing in the spin-off After MASH. The single most interesting story was Father Mulcahy losing his hearing, then in the spin-off they explain it away by saying he had an operation.
Even though I love Star Trek: Deep Space Nine I don’t really want an official movie or spinoff of any kind. The endings were perfect, I don’t want an explained away Sisko. Sometimes less is more. Beta canon is fun, but I like where Star Trek: The Next Generation ended.
