Hacker group Anonymous has released a video in which they claim that NASA is close to announcing the discovery of alien life.

If that seemed a little sketchy and weird it’s only because it is. There’s not a lot in the way of convincing material in the video. The basic premise of the video is that NASA has been laying the groundwork for a big alien announcement. To back the video highlights things like the Kepler Space Telescope’s recent discovery of a new batch of earthlike worlds. That’s it, that’s pretty much the only thing solid in the whole video.
The other issue with this is that if evidence of aliens had been found it would be very hard for it to stay secret. That kind of evidence would have to be verified, and in doing so it would get out that it existed. The internet wouldn’t let that stay in the dark for long. So this video without any hint of that evidence means that evidence probably doesn’t exist.
