The travel guide format of the book makes it much easier to read than some of the long winded and dry manifestos on Star Trek worlds found online. This is a book that’s going to be a fun read for anyone, no matter how much of a Trekkie they are. The biggest strength of the book may be that it has enough interesting and new information to engage diehard longtime Trekkies, but also reads easy enough for casual Star Trek fans to enjoy.

The price is also right at only $13.38 on Amazon right now. Star Trek fans are used to seeing these kinds of books on the series in the hundreds of dollars range; so seeing Insight Editions pricing this wonderful book like humans instead of Ferengi is a nice surprise.
The best part of the book may be the great maps. There’s something about being able to see how things are laid out that really makes a piece of a fandom you love come alive.

This wonderful guide to the Klingon Empire was written by Dayton Ward, who also authored Hidden Universe Travel Guides: Star Trek: Vulcan. Here’s hoping that Ward has already booked his research trip to Bajor for a third installment.
There have been some great Star Trek publications released in 2017. Hidden Universe Travel Guides: Star Trek: The Klingon Empire however is easily the best Star Trek book of the year. You don’t want to miss this one.
