Discovery makes push for Emmy nominations
By Adam Sokol
Voting for Emmy nominations starts next week and the makers of Star Trek Discovery want to make sure they don’t get overlooked. A lot of shows are making a final push for recognization ahead of Emmy’s voting that begins next week. Discovery is no different.
As part of Discovery’s final Emmy’s push, the makers have released six videos highlighting the areas in which they think they should be recognized by the Emmy’s. Here they are:
Outstanding Production Design
Outstanding Music Composition
Outstanding Special Visual Effects
Outstanding Sci-Fi/Fantasy Costumes
Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup
Outstanding Drama Series
These new videos are just part of CBS’s lobbying effort geared towards Emmy voters. In addition, there have been multiple live events. Last week the showrunners held a For Your Consideration event. During the event, they discussed the importance of Star Trek canon and dropped numerous season 2 hints. The week prior, Discovery designers released a video detailing what went into some of the looks for Discovery characters. These included an alternate multi-eyed alternate Saru. You can read about that one here or you can see the video down below:
