Published in 2017, Star Trek: The Next Generation – Mirror Broken finally took the concept of the Mirror Universe and brought it to the characters of The Next Generation. Using the continuity established by the original classic episode and the storylines from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, the miniseries braved new ground and gave us the greatness of Picard with a goatee.
The success of Mirror Broken practically guaranteed a sequel, which we arrived this past spring in the form of the weekly miniseries Through the Mirror. It gave readers the Picard vs. Picard battle we all didn’t know we needed in our lives and again was a huge hit for IDW.
Now the third chapter of the Next Generation Mirror Universe story continues with Terra Incognita. Picking up from the twist ending of Through the Mirror, each issue is a “one and done” story taking place during the events of the television series.
Written by Scott Tipton and David Tipton with artwork by Angel Hernandez, Terra Incognita features a story starring Worf and Beverly Crusher in a classic odd couple tale with a Star Trek twist.
From the IDW solicitation:
"On the heels of the blockbuster Through the Mirror miniseries comes a brand-new Next Generation series, featuring untold tales of CaptainJean-Luc Picard and the crew of the USS Enterprise-D! Takes place during Star Trek: The Next Generation’s critically acclaimed fourth season! Featuring covers by Mirror Broken co-creator and designer J.K. Woodward!
