The cast for the upcoming Star Trek: Picard continues to grow with the announcement that actor Evan Evagora has joined the production.

Things are starting to get very real, very fast for the forthcoming Star Trek: Picard.

Last week it was announced that Sir Patrick Stewart would be joined by Michelle Hurd and Santiago Cabrera in the series which would see the return of Jean-Luc Picard two decades after the conclusion of The Next Generation. It sees the former captain of the Enterprise in a very different phase of his life, which has been turned upside down by the destruction of Romulus.

Now Deadline is reporting that the next addition to the cast has been made official.

It has been announced that actor Evan Evagora is joining the cast as a series regular. As with previous casting news, nothing is currently known about what role he will be playing and how his character will relate to Picard.

Evagora, a former model turned actor, is new to the acting game with this being his biggest role to date by far. According to his IMDb page the only other role that is credited to him is a part in next year’s Fantasy Island feature film reboot.

Evagora is a native of Melbourne, Australia and is the youngest of seven children. Incidentally, Evagora will be the first Australian to play a lead in a Star Trek series, which we will add to the growing list of firsts for Star Trek: Picard.
