As you can see Discovery is up against some pretty stiff competition.

The fact that Discovery didn’t get some kind of nomination for the work of costume designer Gersha Phillips seems like a crime and a snub of the first order. And while it would be easy to bemoan the lack of acting and writing nominations, it shouldn’t be all that shocking that Discovery was locked out of those categories.

That being said, I think everyone can agree that each nomination is well deserved and a credit to the many people who work on the show.

Next. Star Trek could be the final film by Quentin Tarantino. dark

The Creative Arts Emmy Awards will be handed out over the course of two nights on September 14 and 15 and will be shown at a later date on FX. The 71st Emmy Awards will be broadcast live on Sunday, September 22 on Fox.
