Star Trek: Picard will see several names from around Star Trek return to the franchise, so let’s look at three more names who should return.
Star Trek: Picard will see several actors back in the Star Fleet saddle again. Iconic characters like William Riker, Seven of Nine, Data, and of course Jean-Luc Picard are all back (among a few others). Part of the appeal of the return of Patrick Stewart is the return of the characters that he shared the screen with. If it was just Stewart’s Picard, the hype and fanfare wouldn’t have been as high.
Seeing the trailer with Picard and Riker talking brought back all sorts of emotions. The friendship, the comradery, the battles, and the arguments; it all came rushing back. While not as equally as meaningful, but potentially very compelling is Picard talking to Seven of Nine, arguably the most iconic Borg of all time. With Picard’s history and absolute hatred of the cybernetic zombies, to see how he’s adjusted years after retiring to the idea of a Borg being in his personal space should be interesting.
The show will explore a lot, no doubt, but one thing fans will want is to see more interactions with Picard and other characters from Star Trek that maybe Picard didn’t get to see a lot of. The first season of Picard is underway, with the series premiere dropping on the 23 of Jan. so it’s impossible to know today if any of these names will pop up throughout the first season. It’s entirely possible there are some surprise cameos coming, but since we don’t know it’s impossible to say for sure one way or another. So we’ll just assume the names that have been announced (Riker, Deanna Troi, Data, etc) are it for now. Expect a few of these lists in the coming weeks, but for now, we’ll start here.
So here are 3 names that could make their appearance in season 2 of Picard.
