Bill and Ted: Face the Music is coming out at the end of summer and it’s the perfect way to say goodbye to the season.
Bill and Ted: Face the Music, the third installment of the legendary Bill and Tedd franchise, is coming to video-on-demand on Sep 1, 2020. The film will see Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter reprise their roles as Theodore “Ted” Logan and William “Bill” S. Preston, Esq respectively. The film is the third in the series and will reunite Winter and Reeves for the first time in nearly 30 years, alongside their on-screen daughters, played by Brigette Lundy-Paine and Samara Weaving.
The film is a bit of a nostalgia engine, promising to touch on all the old aspects and characters of the original films. While some of the actors have since passed on, namely George Carlin, just about everyone else is returning to the series. Like William Sadler and Amy Stoch reprising their roles as Death and Bill’s step-mother, Missy.
The film is coming out on video on demand, as well as released in theaters should one be open in your area. This isn’t too dissimilar from how some studios have done releases so far this year. Namely Scoob! and the latest entry in the Trolls franchise. Scoob! did exceptionally well as a video-on-demand release, charging customers $24.99 to purchase the film, or $19.99 to rent it.
Bill and Ted: Face the Music might offer a similar situation to customers.
For those concerned about the film and it’s quality, fear not, as Dean Parisot is the one handling the film’s direction. Fans of Star Trek parody Galaxy Quest will recognize the name as the man who directed the sci-fi cult favorite. Obviously Parisot has history directing science-fiction properties before and over-delivering, so it’s likely that Bill and Ted’s third adventure is in fact as good as fans all hope it is.
It’s coming out at the end of summer, and with the craziness, the world is dealing with at the moment, there’s no better way to say goodbye to the summer season than with one more ride with the Wyld Stallyns.
