Star Trek: Discovery unveils the first trailer for season three during Star Trek Day.
Star Trek Day hasn’t disappointed, with the first trailer for the third season of Star Trek: Discovery being premiered during the event. The trailer shows the crew of the Discovery going 900 years into the future, where the Federation has collapsed after an event called “The Burn”, an event where the whole universe went “left”.
The crew seems to become the leading force for order and good after landing in the new time. The series has made drastic shifts each season it’s been on the air, and this time this shift seems to be permanent, with Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green) stating in the voice over that it’s a one-way trip.
Besides Martin-Green, the cast of season three includes Doug Jones (Commander Saru), Anthony Rapp (Lt. Commander Paul Stamets), Mary Wiseman (Ensign Sylvia Tilly), Wilson Cruz (Dr. Hugh Culber), and David Ajala (Cleveland “Book” Booker). Also appearing in season three are Blu del Barrio (Adira), Ian Alexander (Gray), and Michelle Yeoh (Philippa Georgiou).
Season three premieres on CBS All Access on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020.
