There are many great leaders in the Star Trek franchise, but when it comes to being the President, these are the three we’d like to see with the job.
Star Trek is so beloved because it gives fans the opportunity to see humanity at its most advanced, that’s why there are so many options for this topic. Who would make a good President? That’s what we’re going to look at today. We’re not going to worry about things like “President of what” and the rules that come with who could run.
No, we’re going to just boilerplate this. President, it’s that simple. So who from Star Trek would make a good one? What character has the fictional talents to convince a populous to vote for them? That’s a tough question but a fun one to consider.
To be clear, these aren’t all the good candidates, nor will there be any political party affiliation, these are just three characters who seem like they’d be good leaders, for one reason or another.
Dishonorable Mention – Gul Dukat
Do we need to explain why the “space-Nazi” is a bad choice? Besides the occupation of Bajor, the camps, the torture, and the attempted genocide, he’s also a liar. Can’t trust him to lead without using layers upon layers of deception.
Dishonorable Mention – Data (minus emotion chip)
Robots are replacing the workforce at a rate that’s far too fast. The last thing we need is an android to come in, and make every decision based on logic without any emotion whatsoever. That’s how bad things happen.
