Michael Dorn takes on a new role as a head of secret service organization in his next upcoming film
Having played the Klingon Worf over 24 years (if you count his voice roles on Family Guy), Michael Dorn is no stranger to science fiction. His character dealt with many alien races on Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Now, his upcoming movie, Alien Revelations, formerly titled Agent II, takes him right back into thick of things, dealing with even more aliens. But this time, 68 year-old Dorn, who doesn’t look anywhere near his age, is heading up a secret organization that is seeking to combat aliens.
Derek Ting portrays a CIA analyst, Jim Yung, who gains enhanced physical capabilities after he is exposed to a dust created by aliens. The dust is supposed to control humans, but it affects Ting’s character differently. Dorn’s character, Alastair, enlists Ting’s help to hunt down those aliens and find out why they have returned to Earth after leaving so long ago. It won’t be an easy task. Alastair even tells Ting that he should have run when everything started, but we know, of course, that’s not what heroes do. They fix things. Sounds just like something the Enterprise and its crew would do.
Agent Revelation will release on Video on Demand on January 22nd from Quiver Distribution. Take a look at the official trailer which has sci-fi fans on the edges of their seats. It really looks like a solid sci-fi film.
Next up, Dorn heads into the fantasy realm in the TV movie, Relatively Super, where he’ll star alongside Star Wars star Mark Hamill. The film takes a look at the lives of the relatives of the world’s greatest superheroes. It’s good to see Michael Dorn back on screen again after doing so much voice work! Now, if only we can see him as Worf again.
