With Christmas right around the corner, here’s a classic Hallmark commercial featuring Spock himself (Leonard Nimoy) buying an exclusive ornament.

What’s more Christmasy than Leonard Nimoy and Star Trek? Christmas is a special time for those who celebrate it. Whether it’s just a festive holiday for you and yours or a more spiritual holiday, it’s a time of the year that helps remind us to give back and share in the holiday cheer with those you care about most. It’s a time of the year when the weather is at its coldest and the sky is at its darkest, that we make sure our homes are warm and bright.

Thanks to TrekCore, your holiday season might be a bit warmer and brighter with some nostalgia. TrekCore posted a classic Hallmark Star Trek commercial to their Twitter account, featuring Nimoy walking into a store to buy a new Galileo shuttlecraft ornament.

The commercial is marked as being from 1992, which would have been one year-removed from Nimoy’s last turn as Spock until 2009’s Star Trek. It was also the year that saw Star Trek: The Next Generation head into its sixth season and was just two years away from seeing the television series turn into a film series.

It was also the last year that Star Trek would exist without Deep Space Nine being a thing, as the spinoff series would launch just two weeks after Christmas 1992, airing for the first time on Jan. 3, 1993.

It’s a nice piece of nostalgia, and hopefully, a moment that can help brighten your day no matter what’s going on. For some new fans, it’s a neat piece of history to help you feel closer to the franchise but to us older fans, it’s a nice way of holding onto a memory of a time gone by.
