CBS has plenty of ideas in mind for future Star Trek series, and with the encouraging numbers and growing fans, there’s little doubt they will continue to produce shows for quite some time However, there is one show that is all ready to go. It even has a script, written by Michael Dorn, ready, and the premise of the show is strong.

In Dorn’s script, the Klingon Empire is dying. They have fewer resources than they need, even though they own so many planets and worlds, they can’t keep up with them. So the Klingons have to make a choice between going down with the ship or opening up the doors of their world. That’s where Captain Worf encourages his people to make the necessary changes that will preserve their world. And they can start by allowing Starfleet officers to become a part of Q’onoS and allowing other races to become a part as well.

As part of the Klingon Defense Force and the one who came up with this idea, Worf is put in charge of traveling to various worlds to issue the invitation. And these are worlds that have been owned/controlled by the Klingon Empire for centuries. So it’s understandable there will be some rebellion. And some of the worlds just want to be left alone.  So every episode would essentially be Worf’s interactions with different planets and species, trying to be an ambassador, if you will. And we all know that is not one of Worf’s fortes. Diplomacy and Worf just don’t seem to go together.

Lucky for Worf, there is plenty of action, too. Dorn adds that “What I wrote, it’s claustrophobic. It’s Shakespearean in its scope. There’s assassinations and coups and behind-the-scenes politics going on. It’s such a great fit and it doesn’t feel like anything else that’s on All Access.” And most Star Trek fans would agree. Now, if only CBS would get behind the script.

Next. Fans still want a Worf-centric series. dark
