You could own a Star-Trek-themed mansion for the entire family

With eight bedrooms, Marc Bell’s Star Trek-themed mansion has enough room for multi-generational families who all want to live in the world of Trek. Originally listed in 2014 for the moderate price of $35 million, the home has had several price drops since then and, as of last year, is now available for $19.9 million. While a little better than the initial price, it’s still quite a chunk of change, but the amazing interior tells you it might be worth the investment. (Several families buying in together would lessen the sting!)

Marc Bell is a Star Trek fan, and he designed the 20,000+ square foot mansion with his fandom in mind. In 2015, on an episode of Rad Pads, Bell allowed viewers an inside peek at his home which included the displays of the original Spock ears, original tribbles, and an original Borg and his alcove from First Contact! Alas, I’m sure none of these transfer to the buyer.

Take a look at the video below to see the effort Bell put into creating the home.

Along with a replica of the Enterprise bridge from Star Trek: The Next Generation, the mansion includes doors that make the “whoosh” sound when opened. One neat aspect of the chairs on this bridge is that they move with the movie that’s playing on the big screen! So if the Enterprise banks to the right, so will you. And the moves aren’t just connected to Star Trek movies. So you can do a lot of moving in this theater/bridge.

Of course, the house includes all the necessities like a 1500-bottle wine room, an elevator, and a gym, as well as a helipad and a pirate room with a bed designed to look like a pirate ship, and a game room which is designed to resemble a World War II–era bunker, complete with sandbags, ammo, and combat helmets. But let’s be serious. The bridge is the best room in this house.
