I haven’t previously covered Star Trek: Discovery tweets before because I haven’t watched the show yet. I had one older series I wanted to watch first so that I would be all caught up. I’m one season away from the end of Star Trek: Voyager, and I’m looking forward to starting the Discovery journey. So, in preparation, I investigated the tweets this week for #startrekdiscovery, and I’m happy to say the fans didn’t disappoint with their creativity and enthusiasm.

Let me start off with one of my favorite pictures.  Steff (@Larkistin89) created this phenomenal portrait of Michael Burnham. I am in awe of this artist’s talent, and I have to wonder if Sonequa Martin-Green has seen this beauty. I’m sure she’d be just as impressed. Truly incredible.

@nowhere897 did an amazing job creating these two characters from spare parts. How creative is this? So much talent!

@DS9FBTS got a favorite 46th birthday present that is for 17-year-olds and up. So it’s a good thing he got it when he’s old enough to play with it!  (I’ve been reading that Saru is one of the favorite characters on Discovery so I’m really looking forward to seeing his role in the series.)

@DahkurArt shared amazing portraits—100 of them in 10 days all drawn by hand. I don’t know about you, but I sure would love to have this kind of talent and dedication!

This is another one by Gabi (DahkurArt), and there’s no wonder I had to share this one, too. There is nothing I can really say to describe the talent, but then, I don’t really think I need to say anything. Gabi’s art speaks for itself, and I hope Wilson Cruz has gotten a peek at this! Please go take a look at this as soon as possible. It will stay with you!

And there we have it! My very first top five favorite #startrekdiscovery tweets. We have a plethora of talented fans in the Star Trek fandom, and I hope they keep sharing beautiful art like this and the happy times that Star Trek has brought them. See you next week!
