The Delta Flyers, a podcast hosted by Garrett Wang and Robert Duncan McNeill from Star Trek Voyager, is Wang and McNeill’s weekly trek through each and every episode of Voyager. The friends watch each episode of the series then share a recap as well as behind-the-scenes information they have from their knowledge of working on the series. As of January 31st, they were up to Tuvix, which is the 24th episode of the second season of the series. Prior to beginning their watch and recap, Wang made the announcement that McNeill had some good news to share. McNeill responded by saying, “I do. I am an engaged man now.” McNeill went on to say that it was a New Year’s Eve surprise for his now-fiancée Rebecca.

McNeill’s fiancée, Rebecca, who works on The Delta Flyers podcast, shared a sweet photo of her and McNeill and her new engagement ring on Twitter on January 1st.  McNeill, too, shared one of the photos on his social media as well.

Wang added a funny story to McNeill’s announcement by sharing that McNeill tried to videocall him to tell him the news. Wang wouldn’t answer the call because he was still in bed, McNeill never video-calls, and Wang had “bedhead.” After a quick phone call where McNeill said he had to show him something, Wang reluctantly agreed to the video. After hearing the announcement, Wang was no longer concerned about his bedhead.

Along with co-hosting The Delta Flyers’ podcast, McNeill stays busy directing and producing, spending more time behind the camera than in front of it. The upcoming reboot of Turner & Hooch on the Disney+ channel recently added McNeill as one of the directors of the twelve-episode series which is based on the 1989 movie of the same name.

On a final note, Robert Duncan McNeill did promise that he’d keep everybody updated along the journey to the wedding. Fans couldn’t be happier for him.
