Though not everyone is a fan of the Captain Kathryn Janeway and Commander Chakotay pairing on Star Trek: Voyager, there is a large fanbase dedicated to the couple that never happened. It’s not unusual for fans to want to “ship” couples on their favorite television program, and there is no denying that Janeway and Chakotay had a certain chemistry that lends itself to that ship. Perhaps that is why there is so much art dedicated to the couple, including this Fanpop club.

Some of the highlights are the Mr. and Mrs. Voyager poster which was is a redone image of the Mr. and Mrs. Smith movie poster with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. There’s a bit of tongue-in-cheek humor at the top when the artist acknowledges that this is “from the most controversial production in the Delta Quadrant.” There’s also a review from Good Morning, Neelix which adds to the authenticity of the a movie poster.

While some of the art contains screen captures from the series, others are photo manipulations which show the couple in images from fans’ imaginations like this beach wedding photo and this wedding photo as well. And then there are really funny ones like the Sound of Music manipulation with Jane and Chakotay as Maria and Captain Von Trapp and all their children have Neelix’s face.

Even if you’re not a fan of this pairing, it’s worth your time to see the talent and creative ideas fans who are have. Perhaps it will spark your interest in creating fan art of your own. At the very least, you could spend some time admiring the talent these Star Trek: Voyager fans are willing to share with the world. It takes time and energy to create such art…and bravery to share it on the internet.
