Rosario Dawson, the actress from Luke Cage, The Defenders, and Iron Fist and the upcoming second season of The Mandalorian, has a dream role in mind if she were to ever make an appearance on Star Trek. The political activist, who is also dating a Trekkie, Senator Cory Booker, is such a fan of the series that she is willing to play a background character like a Romulan or Vulcan with a small, walkthrough part. Her brother, Clay Dawson, convinced her that she needed to aim a little higher, perhaps even shoot for a captain. But, according to the interview she had with Variety,  it was her father who encouraged her to be one of the beings that John de Lancie made famous in Star Trek: The Next Generation—Q.

Dawson thinks it would be an ideal role because it would open her up to appear on a variety of the current Star Trek series, including Discovery and Picard. She admits that she just wants to be with Jean-Luc Picard. (Who can blame her?)

If Dawson’s dream comes true, she’ll have even more in common with her partner, Booker who told The New York Times that his favorite Star Trek episode is The Next Generation’s “The Inner Light.” On top of that, as much as Dawson likes Captain Picard, so does Booker.

"“I love how profoundly intellectual he is and how reasoned and thoughtful.”"

Dawson is also a big fan of Star Wars and says that if she were to be able to get a part in both of those franchises, she would retire.

"“The two universes, ‘Star Trek’ and ‘Star Wars.’ I get in those two, I’m telling you, man, that’s it. I will just retire. And then I can just concentrate on going to school and running for office. That would be it.”"

Most of us have at least one part of this dream so we wish Rosario Dawson the best of luck!
