With the recent, overwhelming success of the Star Trek: Voyager documentary (To the Journey) campaign, fans have proven that they will support what they love. And in this particular instance, the love was all about Voyager, a show that didn’t get much promotion from its original network yet was able to hold on to a seven-year run. While Star Trek: Enterprise was canceled after its fourth season, it maintains a solid fanbase to this date, and new fans have discovered the show thanks to streaming networks. So, unsurprisingly, those fans want to know if an Enterprise documentary could be around the corner in spite of its early termination.

So far, there hasn’t been a mention about a potential documentary, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t on the back burner. At the very least, fans of the series should be given the chance to support it as they have for past documentaries. The Enterprise fandom wants to learn more about the series, about what happened behind-the-scenes, what the writers had planned for the characters, and if there could ever possibly be a movie (and what the actors think of the idea). These are just some of the questions that keep popping up in fan discussions online.

Producing a documentary is obviously a very big undertaking, but it would be a shame (and unequitable) for Enterprise to be left out in the cold simply because of cancelation. Ending a series abruptly doesn’t negate the fans it had (and still has) while it was airing and the new ones who’ve discovered Enterprise since it showed up on streaming networks. So, hopefully, this will be considered once To the Journey—Looking Back at Star Trek Voyager has completed production.
