John de Lancie is filming Star Trek: Picard with Patrick Stewart, Jonathan Frakes, and Brent Spiner.

Star Trek: Picard is getting a lot of great press from John de Lancie, who will be returning to the show as “Q” in the upcoming second season of the show. Besides gushing about Patrick Stewart, de Lancie has also taken to talking about how good it is to work with Brent Spiner again but it was Jonathan Frakes who has the most positive things to say.

For those unaware, Stewart, Spiner and Frakes were all major characters on Star Trek: The Next Generation. They played Jean-Luc Picard, Data and William Riker respectively. Picard is of course the name-sake of the new series, while Spiner reprised his role as Data in the first season of the series, and was brought in as another character as well for season one, Dr. Altan Inigo Soong.

Frakes also reprised his role as Riker but also serves as one of the series directors as well, this was what de Lancie was referring to.

John de Lancie is great for Star Trek: Picard PR.

John de Lancie is putting over the show during his fan-made Cameo videos, where he’s constantly expressing how much fun he’s having shooting the show, and how happy he is to be back with Star Trek. Durnig one of the Cameo’s, he gushes about Patrick Stewart, Brent Spiner and Jonathan Frakes.

"I am back in the Star Trek universe working with he likes of Sir Patrick Stewart and Brent Spiner and Jonathan Frakes, who has been directing the episodes I have been doing right now. He always makes things better than they are."

While in another de Lancie is crediting Frakes’ directorial style and abilities.

"I’ve been having a really nice time working with Sir Patrick and with Brent, that was great fun. And with Jonathan Frakes, who just makes shooting a party…"

Whether the second season is good or not, the one thing we know for sure is that de Lancie is selling the hell out of it.
