Marina Sirtis is not Counselor Deanna Troi

Just ask the 66-year-old actress, and she’ll tell you that the only thing she and Counselor Deanna Troi have in common is their height. In fact, in an exclusive interview with express.co.uk, she said she was the exact opposite of the Betazoid character she played on Star Trek: The Next Generation for seven years as well as the following four movies. One particular instance shows exactly how much difference there is between the actress and her character.

Sirtis guest-starred in three episodes of NCIS between 2013-2016, and apparently, one fan didn’t think she looked her very best during the appearances as when she was walking past, the man asked her why they’d [the production team] made her so ugly during the series. Sirtis’ response most likely shocked him.

Marina Sirtis doesn’t back down from confrontation

In the interview, Sirtis admits that she punched that fan in the arm then proceeded to yell at him for ten minutes. She asked the fan if he had a girlfriend before adding that he didn’t because he didn’t know how to talk to women. She added that she just “went off on him” and that she “saw him shrink in front of my eyes.”

"“Do you have a girlfriend? No, of course you don’t have a girlfriend because you don’t know how to talk to women. How ridiculous. Poor fella. I saw him shrink in front of my eyes.”"

The actress admittedly isn’t afraid of confrontation. In fact, she loves it. She said it gives her a thrill and gets the adrenaline going. She did say that the meetings she has at fan conventions usually go better than this one, but she added a warning, “don’t cross me.” That’s certainly a warning that fan will remember!
