William Shatner and Sonequa Martin-Green headlining Sci-Fi Summit
By Chad Porto
William Shatner and Sonequa Martin-Green are convention bound.
Fans of Star Trek, you’re going to want to check out New Jersey’s Sci-Fi summit next week, as they’ll be featuring some of the biggest and best names from Trek for their next convention. Not only Trek will be popping up in Edison, New Jersey, however. The Flash, The Expanse, The Orville, and others will be well represented as well.
Shatner is promised to be on hand, who’s in the middle of celebrating his 90th birthday, which ironically coincides with what would’ve been the 100th birthday of Gene Roddenberry. Roddenberry, for those who don’t know, was the man who gave Shatner his big break as James T. Kirk on Star Trek: The Original Series.
Joining him will be other Star Trek actors including Discovery’s Sonequa Martin-Green, Anthony Rapp, Mary Wiseman, Wilson Cruz, David Ajala, Mary Chieffo, and Noah Averbach-Katz. Other newbies to Trek include Picard’s Picard’s Isa Briones, Michelle Hurd, Jonathan Del Arco, and Evan Evagora.
Star Trek from all eras will be represented
The upperclassmen of Star Trek, if you will, are also going to be represented with Deep Space Nine’s Nana Visitor, Terry Farrell, and Penny Johnson Jerald. Jerald will also be a part of the Orville panel that’ll feature her, Scott Grimes, and Mark Jackson.
