A fan’s dedication to Star Trek: DS9

The long-running comedy series, Friends, had one of the most upbeat intro songs that focused on friendship, laughter, and fun. And now, another incredibly talented Star Trek fan has created an awesome intro video for Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (DS9) using that same theme. And it’s a feel-good, quick snapshot of the many reasons we love the series. The creator of the video, Sheldon, even provided new names for the titles of the episodes he used to make the video. See if you can figure out which episode he’s talking about!

"– The One about Baseball – The One with Time Travel – The One with the Plain, Simple Tailor – The One with the Fake War Criminal – The One with the Real War Criminal – The One with the War Crimes – The One Where O’Brien Has a Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day"

Viewers are loving this new Star Trek: DS9 theme

Even though DS9 is the darkest of the Star Trek series and covered some hard-hitting topics, there were some lighthearted moments, and Sheldon includes a good many of them. And the comments are gold, with viewers saying they could watch this for days, and others saying they never realized there was that much hugging on the series.  One even said now they were going to have to go back and watch the entire series again because of the nostalgia. It’s brought a lot of smiles to fans’ faces, including mine.

As I’ve said before, Star Trek fans are some of the best in any fandom. They’re creative, multi-talented, and dedicated, and when one has all of that, it’s no wonder this video turned out so well.  Enjoy the watch, and thanks for the greatness, Sheldon!
