Star Trek: Fleet Command is now on PC!

Star Trek: Fleet Command was one of the mobile game markets’ most popular apps. Now it’s no longer just a mobile game app but has transitioned to PC gaming with whole new ways to play and personalize the game like never before. Now players can transition between their cellphones and PCs while engaging in cross-platform versions of their social modes like Alliance and Battle pass.

For those who are new to these types of games, cross-platform means you will be playing with people on both mobile devices and PCs. There used to be a time where only mobile users would play with mobile users but in recent times that idea has become pase.

Not only are the games going to be cross-platform compatible from here on out but fans who are getting back into the game may realize some other elements have changed too. The game was set in the Kelvin TImeline, aka the Abrams Movie Universe, but recently the game expanded to include The Original Series, Star Trek: The Next Generation, and Star Trek: Discovery as well.

The inclusion of new elements from the franchise isn’t the only thing fans have to look forward to. According to TrekMovie.com, players who download the game for PC and begin playing are subject to some nice new perks.

"Cross-platform resource bundle: New players and existing mobile players who link their account on a PC will earn a variety of in-game resources when they log in on their PC."

"Unique cosmetic avatars and frames: For downloading during launch week, players will receive PC-exclusive pieces of flair to show off their style."

"Exclusive deals: PC players can choose to take advantage of exclusive sales on in-game resources and extras."

"“Resistance on PC is Futile” Sweepstakes: Players can win a custom Star Trek Fleet Command Borg Cube ATX Limited Special Edition battlestation to power up their adventures in the multiverse by downloading the game on PC."

Star Trek: Fleet Command releases two Next Generation promos for PC launch

The launch of the game on PC was greeted with two Next Generation-themed promos. The first is taken from the game with characters representing The Next Generation, the Kelvin Timeline, and the Original Series all meeting for a duel of sorts.

There’s no dialogue but the in-game animation is pretty spot on and all of the characters (save for Kirk Classic) look like dead ringers for their real-world counterparts. Kirk Classic looked like a more baby-faced Patrick Warburton than he did a fresh-faced William Shatner.  It’s still cool regardless.

The folks at Scopely released a second trailer as well, one featuring Next Generation stars Jonathan Frakes (Will Riker), LeVar Burton (Geordi La Forge and Brent Spiner (Data) commanding Klingon, Federation, and Romulan ships respectively against The Borg. It’s a delightful little video with Burton crying out “I’m too famous to be assimilated!”
