New Star Trek 3D Chess Collection figurines

Star Trek has created a new take on the traditional game of chess with their 3D Chess, and Hero Collector is adding to the uniqueness of the game with their brand new 3D chess figurines. Hero Collector is known for creating unique figurine and vehicle models for collectors, and they’re apparently diversifying their collection with these Star Trek chess pieces.

There are eight pieces in the set, from Star Trek: The Original Series and Star Trek: The Next Generation, and those eight pieces are (from TrekCollective).

"Captain Picard (TNG King)"

"Captain Kirk (TOS King)"

"Data (TNG Rook)"

"Spock (TOS Bishop)"

"Borg Queen (Aliens Queen)"

"Worf (TNG Knight)"

"Gorn, Enterprise-era (Aliens Rook)"

"Xindi Insectoid (Aliens Pawn)"

"Tasha Yar (TNG Knight)"

The figurines are available through their website as a sort of subscription, and if you sign up you’ll get Picard with your first order. This isn’t their first foray into chess pieces, and have been known to sell the individual pieces on their own once the original lineup has been shipped out. So it’s possible in a few months to a year, that you’ll be able to purchase the whole lot at once for a few dollars per piece.

The company also sells a 3D piece chessboard for over $300 according to their website. So this won’t be an inexpensive hobby.
