Star Trek: Prodigy has released character promos for the upcoming debut.

Star Trek: Prodigy is debuting in just mere days and the folks over at Star Trek’s social media profiles want to introduce fans to all the new characters. The show will focus on seven kids (six kids and a space dog, maybe?) who find a Starfleet vessel called the U.S.S. Protostar. The ship is found unbeknownst to most people in the Delta Quadrant, and the kids end up taking the ship as a way to create a new life for themselves.

The ship’s crew is going to be guided by the ship’s Emergency Command Hologram, which is designed after the captain of the U.S.S. Voyager; Captain Kathryne Janeway. Even though she’s just a hologram, we’ve seen in Star Trek: Voyager just how complicated and impactful a hologram can be.

With the show debuting on Thursday, Oct. 28, Prodigy’s social media’s decided now was a good time to meet the cast and their positions on the ship.

Which Prodigy character has what role on the U.S.S. Protostar?

First up is Dal (Brett Gray), who was described as a “17-year-old Maverick”. Dal is the first Delta Quadrant alien to be given the label of “captain” of a Starfleet vessel in the history of the franchise. He’ll likely get the most on-screen time with Mulgrew’s hologram Janeway.

Then we have Gwyn (Ella Purnell), who’s also 17-years-old and is a Vau N’Akat. The daughter of a miner, she ends up becoming the Protostar’s Communications Officer.

Then we have Zero (Angus Imrie), who’s being listed as the Navigator.  Apparently, he’s a Medusan, a species who if seen outside of a containment suit, can make people go mad. That’s going to be a storyline.

Then we have Jankom Pog (Jason Mantzoukas), who’s going to be the ship’s engineer. If you think he looks like Bebop of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles too, well, you’re probably not the only one.

Maybe the most adorable character Rok-Tahk (Rylee Alazraqui) who despite being a large and imposing figure is actually just a little girl, well little for her species. Rok-Tahk is the ship’s science office, stepping into the footprints of people like Spock.

Lastly is Murf, who’s just listed as Murf (Dee Bradley Baker).
