Just when you thought you couldn’t see anything stranger than Q’s costume on Encounter at Farpoint, along comes a mashup that has you scratching your head and wondering how this could possibly work. And then you see that it does. The YouTube channel, Picard Looking at Goats, prepared a unique combination of Star Trek: The Next Generation and Seinfeld, two series that could not be farther apart from one another.

The Next Generation is about space exploration and saving the galaxy while Seinfeld is the show about literally nothing. That’s how it was billed, and it was successful on that premise. So take nothing and put it together with the seriousness of Captain Jean-Luc Picard as well as a dinner scene with Chief Miles O’Brien and his wife, Keiko, and what do you have? Watch for yourself!

This is a relatively new channel about Star Trek, Picard, and goats

The creator of this channel, which just started on October 30th, describes the channel as “The adventures of Captain Jean Luc Picard and the Enterprise crew looking at goats and sometimes other things.” This SeinTrek episode is obviously the “other things”, and according to the video, it’s episode 1. So, thanks to this creative fan, we have more of these eps to look forward to.

While sometimes, weird things don’t work, this is one that did, especially the introduction of George Costanza on the Enterprise as the actor who played George, Jason Alexander, actually appeared in the franchise on an episode of Star Trek: Voyager and was cast to play Dr. Noum on Star Trek: Prodigy.

Fingers crossed that one of the upcoming episodes will feature Lt. Commander Worf and Cosmo. That type of interaction would be worth its weight in gold! Here’s hoping this Youtube channel continues creating unique content for the fandom!
