A new Star Trek comic is coming to IDW.

A new Trek mini-series has been announced by Star Trek.com and IDW and it’s called Adventures in the 32nd Century. It’s a four-issue mini-series that will focus on characters from Star Trek: Discovery. It will join the ever-expanding Trek comics on IDW.

The writers of past Discovery comics like The Light of Kahless, Succession, and Aftermath, co-writers Kirsten Beyer and Mike Johnson, will be reuniting for the upcoming Trek book Adventures in the 32nd Century. The crossover comic, Trek/Green Lantern: The Spectrum War featured artist Angel Hernandez who will be handling the illustration for the four-part mini-series.

The series will debut with looking at Grudge the Cat, the cat Cleveland Booker hangs around with on the Discovery. It will detail how the two met and will launch the miniseries.

From Trek.com

"Comic book and graphic novel publisher IDW today announces that The United Federation of Planet’s far-flung future will be further explored in a new four-issue miniseries, Star Trek: Discovery – Adventures in the 32nd Century...Each issue of Adventures in the 32nd Century will spotlight a different cast member, and the first issue’s focus promises a unique perspective from the Star Trek franchise as it reveals the secret history of the queen herself: Grudge the Cat! A flashback tale of her first meeting with Cleveland “Book” Booker sets the stage for a trajectory establishing Grudge as the greatest feline spacefarer of all. Subsequent issues will focus on ensign Adira Tal, Lieutenant Keyla Detmer, and science officer Linus."

Adventures in the 32nd Century will feature several characters

Grudge the Cat isn’t the only member of the Discovery that will be featured in the upcoming Trek comic Adventures in the 32nd Century. The other three books will look at minor-major characters seen in the series; Adira Tal, Lieutenant Keyla Detmer, and Linus.

The series joins other Trek comics published by IDW including Star Trek: Year Five, Star Trek: The Mirror War, and the new alien-one shots debuting in 2022.
